Synthesis FAQs
DigiChem's proprietary software and synthesis operations are built to minimize the time needed to quote and synthesize your material, letting you develop new compounds as fast as possible. We have transparent pricing and lead times, and ensure that your IP is protected throughout the process. DigiChem aims to make custom chemical synthesis faster and easier than any of our competitors.
Your molecules are your own. We make no IP claims on the structure, function, or use of your materials. Your data is encrypted and any structure you give us is subject to confidentiality obligations. Our legal terms are published openly for you to review. If you require an NDA to move forward, please contact us to get the process started.
DigiChem is capable of performing hundreds of reaction schemes. In general, we avoid synthesis and purification methods that require highly specialized equipment or techniques that will not effectively scale to production. We can produce materials in quantities ranging from grams to multiple kilograms.
It's easy to find out if your material is a good fit for us, simply upload it to our digital synthesis platform. You can expect to hear from us within one business day.
At this time, any material produced by DigiChem on behalf of customers is strictly for research and development (R&D) use only. They may not be used for clinical purposes, in humans, or in food or drug applications. You are welcome to use our materials for preliminary screening for biocompatibility, such as those described in ISO 10993. However, be aware that results may change when scaling up with a third party manufacturer.
Transitioning from development to toll manufacturing is a challenging process. When you are ready to transition to higher volumes, we will match you with a toll manufacturer who can take your material to production. We will assist throughout the process, generating documentation for your material and pre-screening manufacturers based on your chemistry and scale-up needs.
While we are industry-agnostic, example use cases for our services include monomers and oligomers, surfactants, flame retardants, pigments and dyes, biocides, catalysts, and non-GMP APIs.
DigiChem operates entirely at our facility in Tarrytown, New York. We do not outsource your synthesis.
